About
What do you do?
I’m an Accounting Technician, which basically means I spend my days making friends with numbers and preventing spreadsheets from starting unnecessary drama. I help keep the financial side of things organised, accurate, and—most importantly—making sense.
What are you known for?
I’m known for noticing the things people swear they checked. The missing figure. The rogue decimal. The suspicious transaction. The formula that somehow decided to go on holiday. I’m big on details, getting things right, and making sure the numbers tell the story they’re supposed to.
What’s your origin story?
The kalanga native that didn’t wake up one morning and decide, “You know what would be fun? Accounting.” It was a gradual love affair with numbers, problem-solving, and figuring out how businesses tick. Somewhere along the way, curiosity became a career—and now I voluntarily spend my days looking at spreadsheets. No regrets. Mostly.
What’s your unofficial expertise?
Finding problems that technically aren’t problems… yet. I have a sixth sense for things that don’t quite add up. Give me a set of accounts and I’ll probably find the number quietly hiding in the corner pretending it belongs there.
What’s always on your desk?
A laptop, a notebook, a calculator, and coffee—the unofficial fuel of the accounting profession. There’s usually a spreadsheet open, approximately 47 tabs somewhere in the background, and at least one task I’ve convinced myself will “only take five minutes.” It never takes five minutes.
