About
What do you do?
I’m a Computer Science graduate, Community Manager, and Wikimedian from Botswana. I work at the intersection of technology, community building, digital literacy, and open knowledge. I enjoy organising programmes, bringing people together, creating digital content, and helping others learn and participate.
What are you known for?
Through my work with Wikimedia, I’ve organised campaigns, training programmes and outreach activities, supported new contributors, and worked with different communities and partners. I’m also someone who enjoys learning new things and taking on challenges, even when I’m figuring things out along the way.
What’s your origin story?
I was born in Ledumang, Botswana, and spent a huge chunk of my life there. Growing up there shaped a lot of who I am today.
What’s your unofficial expertise?
Crochet! I used to crochet quite a lot, but life became busy and hectic, so I had to put it on pause. I’m planning to get back to it because I definitely miss having a creative hobby that has nothing to do with deadlines, projects or computers.
What’s always on your desk?
A couple of books, my laptop, my phone, and my trusty pink or black Stanley-dupe cup. Basically, everything I need to learn something, work on something, or stay hydrated while doing it.
